Transcription: The timer microchip has three programmable channels with three registers. Each channel is programmed to generate a required frequency. The interval between pulses depends on the values stored in the registers. After each pulse of the clock generator, the contents of the counter register is decreased by one. When it reaches zero, the channel generates the pulse.
